MindMappingForLawyers.com is a website created and maintained by Mike Krsticevic to capture and share his experiences using mind mapping in all aspects of law study, legal practice and other related areas.

Mike is a full-time lawyer in Sydney, Australia and has been in legal practice now for over 10 years.

Back in 1992, when Mike was deciding what to study at university, he realised he had a passion for both building “stuff” (civil engineering) and helping people solve problems (law).  Fortunately, he didn’t have to choose between them. Instead, he studied a course of combined civil engineering and law degrees (resulting in individual qualifications in both) at the University of New South Wales (completing his civil engineering degree with honours).  He also completed the 6 year course in 5.5 years (as travelling Europe on holidays in mid-1998 during the FIFA World Cup in France was a big motivating factor).

Since graduating in 1998, Mike has worked for one of the largest Australian law firms (5 years) and for himself (4.5 years) and has experienced the advantages and disadvantages of both. He now works with a rapidly growing firm in Sydney (since October 2008) where he has found his passion for the law reinvigorated to a whole new level by the outstanding team of lawyers and clients with whom he works.

Given the challenges that often come with a professional career of any sort, Mike searched for and found an outlet for all his non-legal ideas, passions and hobbies. That outlet was, of course, cyberspace – in particular, blogging (like this one).

Mike created and maintains three active blogs in his areas of interest covering personal development, mind mapping generally and mind mapping for lawyers (this blog).

Mike is married with three children.
