STEP 9: Enhance With Style and Functionality
Now that you have completed the rough layout, break up and content of your mind map, it’s time to take advantage of the ‘super power’ that comes with ‘top end’ mind mapping software.
It’s time to add some important elements to your mind map that will not only make your mind map stand out but will make the content so much easier to understand and remember.

STEP 2: DUMP Content Onto Branches
Rapidly insert (or “dump”) all you content into your mind map.
Start with your high level branch concepts (ie, Level 1 Branches) to your central theme.
With computer mind mapping software type out your Level 1 Branch concepts quickly. You can always go back and move them around once you have a better picture of the ‘whole’ and what you’re trying to achieve.

Mind mapping is based on “laws” (first documented by Dr Buzan) that should be followed in full to extract the very best that mind mapping has to offer. With the onset of computer mind mapping software, a number of good software programs have automatically incorporated a number of the critical mind mapping laws into their functionality. This leaves you with the task of simply inserting the content, adding images/style and re-arranging your content for maximum readability.
